Playing online is real smooth. Playing within the game has problems unless you allow the auto pilot to take control, then alot smoother. If I take control, lots of screen freezes. Any one else having simular expierences?

Mines very smooth....... I'd suggest checking your joystick, but you say it's smooth online...Hmmm
Do you have the IL2 FB patch? if not download it and see if that helps.
Heck it couldn't hurt to update your video and joystick drivers if you dont have the latest ones.

Before you pass judgement on the Game code you better be 100% sure it's not your system.

It isn't your system IF.

1.you've reinstalled the OS
2.loaded ONLY DX9.0b, latest chipset drivers, latest VGA drivers, and haven't installed the soundcard.
3.Do you little test and if it still runs crappy then it might be game.

New system with the latest and greatest. Had direct X 9 but the cd put ver. 8.1 on when it installed. I'll upgrade Direct X and try that. Thanks

Direct X upgrade to 9.0 did the job. Flying is smooth as silk now. Seems they would put Direct X 9.0 in with the installation CD, instead of 8.1. Oh well, with the help of the you guys and the forum in general, and your time to reply, FB is working great. Thanks! Striker-26
