I cought a glimpse of this over at GameSpot. I know this is not IL-2 related but there was a poll a while back for new sim ideas and this is a new UBI title so I think this will pass muster.

Silent Hunter III is now in the works !!! and it looks real good from the four screenshots I have seen.

Here is the link:
http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sim/silenthunteriii/index.html

The screen shots appear to indicate that the U-Boat's interior will be completely modeled right down to the crew. Maybe they are animated as well?

Anyway, this got me excited enough to rush right over here and post this.

Thanks. Did they take the screenies down? I'm on the 4 screenshot page, and there is a previous and next, but they don't work. I'll try again later.

BOOM! Yeah, Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This is my T-Bolt!! It's has 8 .50cals and 2000lbs+ worth of bombs and rockets. Republic's top of the line. You can find this in the Kick A$$ department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Farmingdale, Long Island and Evansville, Indiana. Retails for about $82,997.95. It's got a turbo-supercharger, all metal control surfaces with blunt nosed ailerons, and a hair trigger. That's right, shop smart, shop Republic. YOU GOT THAT!? No problem. I subsribe to GameSpot and it has paid for itelf several times when I waited to buy a game until I saw a reveiw. They turned me on to IL2!

I've always liked sub games, and this one is looking pretty good.

Should put a 56K warning in the title of the thread, though. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

OMG, I wish someone would put out a good WWII "Atlantic" sub sim. SHII was such a big piece of crap. I was so disappointed.

Maybe SHIII is really on the table, but if it is, I hope it's done right. Dynamic campaign. Thermals, 3d graphics, interactive stations, sounds (Although that was probably the best part about SHII - that and the water textures), interactive fleet commands. Ahhh.. I;m probably dreaming... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Awesome! The screenshots look incredible. I've been waiting for a good U-Boat sim. This looks like its going to be pretty immersive. I wonder how a fully interactive interior is going to work out?
