Now we have 2 Gametypes Coop and DF .

The Coop offers the most features yet to include AI planes and mission objectives.

The DF itself is restricted to Human Pilots and no objectives (except with scripting triggers).

So i came to the idea why isnt it possible to combine both and add random events .

All in all a dynamic online campaign .

For example a mission File has a number of planes and pilots preset at all bases . Bases have limited resources in Fuel and personal and ammunition. Computer controls AI operations to bring in Convoys with fuel, ammo , personal from supply depots . AI announces when flights start that could be recon , combat , air missions (as long enough planes are available at the base or maybe a regroup is needed)
where the players can join too . On return of the flight the computer gets information from the planes how many enemies they did see what defences and so on .. (more info from recon planes than from fighters) (No plane returns no info (radio use could make it too complex)) and then the Computer chooses the next targets and missions on that information that he have at the current state. As long as there are Planes serviveable on the bases the computer setup flights for them.
A base can be captured when air defence and main buildings have been destroyed and the ai from the side that destroyed it sends in a convoy to take it over(Planes set to this base still on the runway maybe captured). While other side maybe do the same and so air support missions are announced on both sides. Adding of Special Objectives maybe bombing factories brings the result that some Planetypes dont get replacements anymore. (replacements planes not in base's stock need to be flown in)
Players may join or leave anytime. They can choose a base and are integrated in a flight that starts next from that base or maybe choose free for all and are integrated in the next available flight or they choose a type of mission and get on the next available.

This all should run withhin 1 mission no extra mission load .
The number of bases in service should be limitable so that it even works on slow comps .

Maybe someone else can add some more Gametype ideas .

I think it is very difficult to do, but I have seen a guy who made a program whitch made something which was not very different from what you said. His server has called ASRG-dedicated. In both sides, blue and red, you have a limit of flying and static planes. 15 and 15. When one of each side destroy 15 piloted planes, or 15 of the planes which were on the airfields, the map changed and the side which had won, won a new base and progress on the map. For example : Blue side had destroy 10 flying planes and 15 static, red side had destroy only 14 flying and 6 static. So blue side won and have one new base on the same map. When the blue side won all red bases the map changed for another year.

Yes i know that script its the FBDaemon but the effect of the archieved missions there can only be seen in the next mission as well it sets a global for planes that are available for all Bases so material shortcommings do not effect plane choice or do not force to take other airbase. Most features i discribed are only based on numbers and can be archieved by a more deeper statistik its not very complex . The AI decisions maybe a more problemmatik thematic. As well most things are somehow in the game yet that are needed but you cant use em cause of the dogfight or coop restrictions.

Hype does have a point. Do any of you guys remember when they started making "bots" for CounterStrike & other FPS?
Imagine "FlyBots" joining multiplayer games - I mean the AI is there - wouldn‚¬īt that be something? A "FlyBot" you can edit to the needs of your server - to fly bombers for example.
