I'm fairly new to IL-2, and I was hoping some of you folks could tell me how to take a screenshot in game. Thanks

To take a screenshot, press Printscreen key. Then, for every session, you will find in the main IL2 directory something like screenxxx.tga. to visualize tese files , you'll need a program capable to open these kind of files (Photoshop, paintshoppro, etc)

Use the "print screen" key.It saves it as a tga file in the root directory of fb.Then paste to your favorite photo program. Then you can convert to a smaller size format.

Each picture is labelled with a grab#.tga.Save the pics as if you close FB and reopen and take more pics the grab files get over written startin with the first #.

If you don't have something like paintshop to view them in just type IrFanview in your keyword and get the download.

For freeware it rocks, lots of options that you can play around with your picts with.

A little program called "fraps" works quite nice for this.

www.fraps.com (http://www.fraps.com)

you can take screenies (it saves them to a specific locatation you tell it so that you don't have to do the whole paste and convert thingy) you can take video and it will display your fps if you like.

Check it out.
