OK, I know the differnce between a .50 calibler machine gun and a .30, and a .30 and a 8mm, but there are a great many differnt gun pods and such in the game, and I would really like a chance to learn what each set actually are. can anyone point me to a place that talks about the guns?

Greysaber14, here is more than you probably ever wanted to know about WWII era machine guns and cannon:

"Only the spirit of attack, born in a brave heart, will bring success to any fighter craft, no matter how technically advanced." - A. Galland

"Look, do you want the jets, or would you rather I slap the props back on?" - W. Messerschmitt

Utterly facinating gentlemen, thank you. I must especially recommend http://free-st.hinet.hr/dvd/ammo.html as it offers the number of rounds per gun.
