Are anybody out there using NewView in stead for TrackIR?
How did it work? Do you use a 2. joystick.
I knew that you should have had a 3. hand
to use a 2. joystick with NewView.
With a stiff neck it is not for everyboddy to use TrackIr and point with your forehead.

I have a copy of NewView v.26 english.
Is there anny never? And where do I find the it on internett.
I have the adress http://home.iprimus.com.au/djgwen/fb/newviewv26english.zip

Yhe only thing to do here is to download the fil.
If I shorten down the address to /fb/ I am not alowed to enter.
Shorten more I cams innto a girls side which has noting to do with fb.
I knew mudmovers had a lot about New Viw but he is down for the movement.

I use newview and I can't play without it. Why 2 joysticks? New you enables you more natural view from plane (not fixed in one direction but it slightly change the way you move jour stick). Also when you view arround with joy. hat it's smooth. Try it. There were many useful tips in configurin on board. Just find them.

Get the newest version [31] from:

http://www.sh.zp.ua/il2/il2.html

Direct link:

http://www.sh.zp.ua/il2/il2_newview.zip

Get the english manual from:

http://www.sh.zp.ua/il2/nv_english.zip

Unfortunately I can't update the version on the old IPrimus page anymore.

The english manual refers to an older version but is still pretty much usable for the new builds.

Edit: I should mention that Build 31 has a button now to "Clear Hat bindings" from FB, which removes one of the most annoying steps you used to have to do to set it up. Just use that instead of doing what you're told to in the manual [ie multiple binds to remove controls or deleting entries from the FB pilot ini file].

I have a question about NewView. It sounds intriguing, but I haven't tried it. I fly with padlock and it has limits when looking over the shoulder beyond which it loses lock. Inside that limit, I can keep an eye on a bandit trying to shoot me from behind while I try to maneuver. After he moves to a certain point behind me and padlock disengages, I rely on my hat switch to look around and keep him in sight
while maneuvering. What would NewView do to the pilot's view in this scenario?

Wow! I've never tried this before... it adds a whole new level of realism - and a whole new level of difficulty!
