Online/MP Mission Briefing

I have just finished this over the weekend. It is ready and fully functional; it is just a matter of creating a new upgrade for UQMG; so for serious mission builders, this should be a good addition. I will try to have this available before the end of the week.

UQMB is a program that provides an alternative to the Description Editor included in the IL-2/FB/AEP Full Mission Builder (FMB). It is embedded within UQMG but works independently from it, much like UQMM (UberQuick Mission Manager) operates.

It includes time saving features for the serious mission builder which can be understood by any user. Most impressive is the fact that UQMB can automatically go into the mission ".mis" file to automatically extract information, saving a lot of time interpreting information and typing.

UQMB fields are also sized so that you have nearly accurate preview of what your briefings will look like. Moreover, UQMB has the standard Windows features, making it easy to Cut/Cupy/Paste/Undo/Select with your mouse.

Thank you all.

Since I started editing and creating missions again, I wanted something to cut my time down on briefings, so I wrote this program over the weekend... my wife almost shot me... but I survived... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It works really well. If I can get some French and German speaking help, I may be able to incorporate a simple translator.

Does this program provide a single place to go after a mission and get details (in text) on what mission goals and brief were, and also, what happened in mission (shoot down, crash landings, takeover of key targets), and also a debrief? It is a pain in the neck to try to find that information in all the different subfolders and files after flying a mission.

Again thank you for your kind comments... after Tully mentioned the FBDaemon, I may delay release for a day or two to include support for FBDaemon information.

NippleCorn,

Unfortunately no. I think you are looking for a program that gives you a post-mission synopsis. This UQMG module is strictly a pre-play briefing creator that gives mission writers (SP, Coop, DF and Campaigns) time saving tools for creating missions (not interpreting them after play, that is.) - for example, it extracts information from the mission file to save time typing it.

I believe there are programs out there that run in the background and interprets the output log files from IL-2, thus putting together the information you want... unfortunately my programs deal only with the mission building process, and that alone keeps me more than busy.

Hope that makes sense.

Looks great http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif. Does it by any chance have FBDaemon support? You know those FBDaemon tags that go into the briefing?

Abraxa,

Thank you for your very kind comments.

Snoop_Baron,

Yes. I will delay it a bit to include that support. I had a request from Tully in the Mission forum, so I had to make some changes to the GUI. I talked to the FBDaemon developer so that I can copy some of the contents of his website for reference.
