lots of other cool stuff in here (http://www.mtholyoke.edu/acad/intrel/ww2.htm) also...anybody know what 'MAGIC' refers to?...

think of decoded Japanese documents and radio transmissions

MAGIC was system in which the armed forces would receive encrpted information. After the US broke the purple cypher a problem arose to who would controll delicate information that was just decrypted. MAGIC was just a way of distrubuting the information.
