I'm experiencing the infamous Vsync fps drop issue. Frame rate is locked to 30 when Vsync is on, Vsync off I get 60 fps in the sea and cities but it still drops to 30 fps in a jungle. Plus I get awful screen tearing when Vsync is off. Unfortunately, the d3d overrider trick doesn't work with Windows 8.1. This game needs a patch that adds "triple buffering" to the in-game options.

D3DOverrider does work with Windows 8.1.
I use it for AC4 and other games on a PC with Win 8.1.

Download this one (http://kickass.to/d3doverrider-dx11-rar-t8230844.html), it should work.
