She just need spells! and some cheap creatures to reach round 10.
After that she can spawn sandstorms without end a cripple you until you have no cards or her cheap creatures killed everything you got.

Why not change her abillity?

3 or 4 Mana to use it and instead giving her the card in her hand she place it on the top of her libary!
Atleast she must have two sandstorms in her graveyard when she want to cripple you. and its hard for her to get new cards.

So your problem is that she can recur a card for TEN resources AND give up her card draw EVERY TURN that stops melees and flyers from attacking (doesn't even include shooters!). Akane is pretty good at the moment but isn't even in the top 10 of decks by a long shot.

Impressive.

Akane is barely played so far because Academy decks still have problems against rush decks. Skirmisher against a DA with Black Vulture behind it, have fun with your meaningless Evade ability. So its definetely not "easy" to reach the late-game, especially against a good opponent. Her ability is definetely late-game oriented and really good if you reach that stage of the game, but she needs 6+ resources and has to give up her card draw, which is a fair trade-off in my opinion. And as EndlessRamble already mentioned, Sandstorm doesnt even effect all creatures....

Sorry, Akane has to stay the way she is right now, things might change with the inclusion of new spells though.

Watched orctest stall till he reached turn 12.
Then he had infinite use of forked lightning.

There is a very easy way to counter Akane.
Thinking.

It really matters how you deploy your creatures. You can f.e. have 5 creats on board, out of which 2-3 will be hit by Forked.

The amount of Akanes is related to Gazal's presence. Since Herald gets more and more popular... Well, the conclusions are quite obvious.
