Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

I heard the Yamato was sunk that way. Bombs and torps had no effect. They finally sent in a P-47. Pilot said he would shoot the water and the bullete would bounce off the sea floor, and penetrate the thinner armor under the boat.

The muzzle velocity is so high that if a pilot fired a .50 in a dive the bullet could exceed the speed of light and travel back in time.

Some scientists believe that the dinosaurs were wiped out by the first F4F pilot who tried this.

This is why you have to set convergence to spray outwards to the sides - as the bullits exceed the speed of light they go backwards & could very well do you bad harm. Btw did you know that the guy who invented the .50s used the Moon for target practice?
