Hi all,

I am in the process of writing an utility to read IL2 log files and turn them into nice html with pretty pictures and divided into sections for each player.

I've tested it with all the logs I can get my hands on but that isn't a lot. I want to put a wide range of logs through it before going to beta to avoid nasty surprises.

So I ask you to please send me your log files. They are found in your IL2 folder with the extension ".lst". Normally the file is called "events.lst".

All logs are welcome as at the moment I need to make sure that I am accounting for all events that IL2 can generate. Multiplayer/single player and mixtures are all ok.

Please send them to il2logs@bitolithic.com.

Thank you all for your help and time.

Regards

Emiliano

Come on guys, just a few logfiles, I'm not asking for much.

If you want a working utility I need those files, otherwise you are all going to be finding problems one at a time.

IL2 logs are not easy to interpret, they have lots of little gotchas.

Send me a few logs to help the development of this thing!

The only .lst file I can find is a file called eventlog.lst

It aint very long.

Thats the one! I miswrote in my first post.

It doesn't matter if it is not very long. The important thing is to get a variety of them.

Had a "new" event for me last night. Fb109 Email gently crash landed with engine off and it hit building and blew up... <BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><font size="-1">quote:</font><HR>...xxx damaged by NONAME xxx....<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>Or "destroyed" I forgot. Never saw that before. I should have saved it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I've written an statistics application in php + mysql wich parses the logs and produces some statistics. You can see it in http://mgstats.webcindario.com. That interface is in spanish, but the source code is in english. If you want to know more, write me at eindh_@terra.es.

That one happens a fair bit. I have been thinking of translating that as 'damaged by object'.

Its a good thing I know spanish! Are the mission start times in spanish in the .lst file? I have an example from Canada where the months are in French.

Also, while you are posting and stuff, why not send me some of your logs?

There is no spanish version of the game, so the start time is in english. Bad news if there are different languages for the logs :-(

My app only parses the final statistics of the log, not the complete list of events ... I think it's not the same you are doing :-(
