One of my collegues from work is from Russia himself. I told him about IL2 and about I was playing this great game. He was enjoying the stories I spoke about what I went through already (great plane, fighting against Germany in 1941-1944).

Now about your question:

Your russian word (this forum does not accept my message when I use it too) means a hole to watch through. Usually this hole is out of glass so no air can pass through. He spoke of some kind of watching hole (very small, just as big as your eye) to look through into an engine for example.

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
