Its no mustang, but with a stall speed of 22 knots and a take off distance of 30 feet you can have a lot of fun.

And would be a hell of alot cheaper too !

I heard it can hover in a decent headwind but I doubt it should be flown in such conditions. It'd be fun to fly with negative true airspeed. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif

I'd love to own one of those. I'd have to do something about those ugly paintschemes though. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Yes.. thats true.

I saw the video about the reborn storch and it can basically "hover" in the right headwind.

Makes it ideal for herding cattle and alot cheaper to run than a chopper.

No doubt it would be an excellent short takeoff aircraft, I have to wonder if this modern version would be as versatile as the original.

Unless I'm mistaken, the WWII versions had 200+ horsepower (240?) engines. At a guess, I'd say a civilian aircraft wouldn't be allowed this type of power (but what do I know?).

Regardless, the important parts are still there, short takeoffs and landings http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .
