Greetings gentlemen!!! I propose a community wide project of immense scope and potential grsatification for all of us who fly in this sim. This is still in the idea stages but....... As you all know..this year will mark the 60th anniversary of Operation Overlord, the invasion of Normandy... D-Day.

I propose a community wide mission building project of mostly historically accurate-as much as possible given the neccessary considerations for differing systems-missions (by historically accurate I mean accurate skins and where possible acurate maps..allowances made of course for areas we just dont have access to) and centering around the months before and after D-Day. There are lots of sources for info....and googobs of very talented mission builders who are passionate about FB. If we start now and collaborate we may be able to actually pull it off.
In the next few days I will come up with a plan and post it here so stay tuned. What I am thinking of is also establishing a group of people to test the missions and submit tweaks to the builders where neccessary and eventually get all these missions or say the top 25 or so in one file...sort of like the real deal campaign.... I'm just rambling now but i think it would be nice.... what do you guys think? Maybe we could even get some of the folks at UBI to award prizes to the top 25 missions selected ..I dont know maybe T shirts or cups...or a $50 gift certificate towards a CH or UBI product. As I work this out in my head i will give you more in the meantime...tell me what you think. I am currently doing some research on the battle of St. LO.

I know some people have expressed disapointment at the fact that certain planes arent here.... but i see no reason why we cant use what we have. What are your thoughts on this?
