By the way.. is it too much to ask to have a LIST of all the bugs that have been sent in by people?

Yes. I can't remember where I saw it, but it was listed as a known bug that WILL be fixed.

That is good news!

On that note.. is it too much to ask for ubi/madox to post a LIST of all the bugs that have been reported to date?

I know they don't want to.. because acknowlegement tends to imply they are going to fix it.. But I'm sure they could post some legal mumbo jumbo thing that says otherwise.. I just want to know what has been ACKNOWLEDGE to date.. So when I find a bug, I don't waste my time and ubi's but sending it it.. I simply check the OFFICIAL LIST and see if it is all ready there...

Is that too much to ask?

That is actually a great idea. Unfortunately, as you stated yourself, it may be more trouble than it's worth to Oleg & crew.

Aviar

Trouble... Well no trouble in compling a list.. Because they allready have one.. they have too.. otherwise what are the programers working from? Verbal talks around the water bottle? Sure.. I know it seems that way sometimes.. In that we get a patch and a glaring bug was not addressed.. But the simple fact is that some *things* are not fixable.. Note I called it a thing.. not a bug.. In that a bug by definition is something that does not work they way they intended it to work.. For example, the high alt problem was called a bug.. but it wasnt, in that it was working as intended.

Anyway.. I think we deserve a official list of the bugs.. It would help us know what is allready sent in.. It would hlep the so people dont send in 100 emails with the same bug listed.. It would help us to NOT GET OUR HOPES UP and thus be disapointed and beyach in this forum when something did not get fixed.. because they decided they could not fix it.. Therefore the only trouble would be from the crowd of folks that dont understand that acknolgment means they have to fix it... But who really cares what those ingnorant folks think! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

This actually does help. Lets say we have two bugs of equal difficulty to fix but only enough time to fix one of them....obviously in commercial terms, the one that gets 1000 complaints is a priority over the one that gets 10 complaints.

On the other hand, someone has to go through
each of those 1000 emails to work out what
bug is actually being reported and then tally
them against the relevant bug (or bugs). I'm
not sure just posting here counts as a bug
report, but it helps creates a discussion from
which the essential bug/issue can hopefully
be stilled and emailed to Oleg's team.
