S! All

I have got a problem I have recently been recently aproached by A jet squadron. 131st (http://hangman131st.tripod.com/)

We are the
131st_VFW (http://www.geocities.com/vfw_131st/index.htm)
They claim to have been around since 1999. When I Chose the 131st for us, I could not find any mention of any one other than a dissbanned Janes WW@ fighters squadron that carried the name of 131st. This has only reared its ugly head since the release of Loc-on.

I chose the 131st because they are based out of St. Louis Missouri USA, We the founders of our 131st are all residents of Missouri.

I need to know if any one outside of either of our two squadrons has heard of them. From the Janes F-18 and if they have been around as long as they claim to have been around.

I have talked to them but have yet to talk to their CO, I would think he would be more active, but maybe he is away for vacation or something.

Any help will be most appreciated.

I'd of posted in Squdron forums but Genral gets more hits.

Should have told them you've been around since 97. Any of your guys actual members of the 131st? Really don't see what business it is of theirs.

I was a charter member of the Air Warrior squad JG-54 which was started in 1989 or 1990, I can't remember exactly. Before we dissolved away many years later, there were a couple of other JG-54 squads. Didn't bother us a bit and as far as I know, it didn't bother them.

We had this problem in WarBirds several years ago: Two No 418 "City of Edmonton" Sqdns, a Mossie unit that was the highest scoring WWII Canadian unit. We were the older squad, had several Edmonton residents in the squad, including a 418 (modern) vet and an existing member of the 418 (helicopter crew chief).

We invited the newer unit(only two guys, both from Edmonton also) to join us. Offered their CO my XO's slot. They wouldn't budge.

We ended up with two 418 sqdns in the game, with slightly different ways of spelling the unit name (all the units in WB are registered).

Since they usually flew Nazi and we never flew anything but RAF Mossies, we took great joy in killing them just as often as we could http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Don't lose sleep over it.
