Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Your website is still unavailable at this time. My web site has been attacked a few times as well., but no body uses it so its easy to reload everything.

I got hacked once in HL too. I was flying on UK dedicated when all of a sudden my game droped to desktop and the search menu came up and went crazy. So much for the firewall idea http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Its mostly DOS type hacks to disrupt pings... Although I have seen a few "Homing Bullet" hacks, but not as much since forgotten battles came out.

I've worried about this from jump when it came to playing online. It doesn't matter how good your firewall is if you just invite everyone past it by hosting or participating in an online game. My Norton Internet Security has a feature called "Intrusion Detection" and it has warned me a few times about attempts to run DOS on my system while at HyperLobby. It automatically stops the attack in question and the person trying it usually goes looking for an easier victim, but I am sure if they really wanted to, there would be a way around this as well.

The biggest problem I have had to watch out for is people trying to mess with my conf.ini files when I am hosting to make it easier for them to use the packet loss cheat. I have set my configuration files to read only, but every now and then, the file gets set back like elfin majic and I have to check on the files on a regular basis. It may be a user error on my part. Any ideas?

By the way, the leg the hacker should be shot in would be his short leg! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Hehehe
Just a good guesser http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Well it would be the two choices for me, if I was so inclined to go back to school to teach. I'd end up in Industrial arts though. Because Football messed up my knee, so I doubt I'd be able to keep up with them kids now days.

I've always wished the school would open the Industrial arts section during the summer for Adults. Charge a fee not a big one just enough to cover the Instructors wages. Since we already pay the school taxes any way. I know I would go play with the wood stuff for sure. Or the machine shop. I get enough welding and mechanics at work.

When I was in school it is a class where you make napkin holders ,bongs, beer holders and get the tools to drill holes to look in the girls bath rooms.
Might have changed by now.

Industrial Arts is a general term for classes that teach a trade like

Welding
Machine work (lathes, mills, ect)
Auto mechanics, small engine repair
Wood working
Practical electricity (House wireing)
many more

Oh an yes you could do all those things that owlwatcher mentioned at risk of detention LOL
