Is it possible that there may be more story DLC other than Freedom Cry? I mean I just saw a tweet from an EscoBlades, James Arthur and Darby conversation talking about a Mary Read and Anne Bonny DLC. It is not a legitimate DLC in the making, but it is a really cool idea. Someone please post link I dont know how to link tweets here.

Wha do you think? Is it possible? What types of DLC would you want?

I would love some DLC to add character development to Mary Read, Calico Jack, and Anne Bonny. They desperately need it.

Other than that, I would like a "super DLC" that adds new weapons, outfits, contracts, side missions, and dynamic encounters. Hey I can dream!

Also, am I the only one who wants the "save the pirate" encounters to always happen, regardless of whether or not you need more crew?

The season pass is cheaper than AC3's was (1600 MS points for AC4 DLC versus 2400 MS points for AC3 DLC on Xbox), so I can't see Ubisoft delivering the same quantity of DLC unless they sell it independently from the season pass. That said, I would still like to see two or three additional large pieces of DLC, since that would be an incentive to replay the complete edition of the game next year when I get a PS4. I'm not convinced it'll happen though, since it would have been made public by now: Ubisoft don't usually hold back on announcements - AC4 was revealed before the DLC for AC3 had even been completed.

Indeed it would be independent from the season pass but I would like an Edward short DLC maybe just 5 missions of him returning to the Caribbean.

I have a theory that edward will be an NPC in freedom cry.

He says that he will track and kill woodes, and he dies in 1732 in Nassau. I think that he and Ade will team up again to assassinate him in freedom cry.

The timing is perfect as the dlc takes place about a decade after AC4. So it all lines up.

Actually the season Pass for AC4 is that price ($19.99) because it gives you a discount for the future DLCs, you will have to still pay for the DLCs with a discount then -
AC3' season pass was at this price ($29.99) because it was containing all the DLCs, consequently, no one can tell how many DLCs for AC4 have to come.

I could've sworn Freedom Cry was stated to be 15 years after AC4 ends so puts it in 1737. Edward would be dead for 2 years. So at most, he would be mentioned. Likely be no different than Connor's "cameo" in Aveline's DLC in AC4. I very much doubt they'll put Edward in at all just to not steal the spotlight from Adewalé. Likely why Connor only had a VO for Aveline's DLC and didn't actually appear.

Does seem rather ... anti-climatic to not have Woodes Rogers be a featured death in a DLC for AC4. Rather pointless to have the guy be a target only to get away with only a few wounds and die later outside of the story he was (semi) featured in. Rodrigo Borgia got a similar cop out at the end of AC2, but we know he didn't die at that time in reality anyway. Brotherhood ended up showing his death thus tying up that loose end. But I doubt Woodes will be in Freedom Cry, either, if it's in 1737. He'd be dead for 5 years already. Adewalé's DLC might have a main villain much like Aveline's. Some rather obscure (possibly) fictional character in a fast paced DLC that really doesn't move the story forward. It's just something fun to let the players play as someone other than Edward and possibly test the waters for a future game featuring a full African protagonist.

One thing that drives me bonkers is loose ends. Granted, I can just look up Woodes Rogers, etc and fill in the blanks, but what's real isn't necessarily part of that AC universe. Don't put things in you don't intend to finish.

Things featuring Africans usually don't perform well so this is likely just a trial to see how well Adewalé wilil be taken by fans. The Telltale Walking Dead game is probably an oddity where an African protagonist actually stared in a very popular game. Things may be changing, but change tends to be slow.

Aveline's a funny one. She half African (a mulatto), but she also has the stigma of being a female protagonist which is often stereotyped as not being a good seller for games. Guess those people never heard of Tomb Raider, but out of all the game series out there, how many actually have a female protagonist? And of those, how many actually perform well? And of those that perform well, how many actually feature a realistic woman and not one obviously designed by a ***** 16-year-old boy? :rolleyes Aveline ends up with a double stereotype working against her (female and African descent).

Can say the same of a blonde protagonist. Most of them tend to have black or brown hair. Edward's probably the first blonde I've seen in quite some time in a major franchise. I honestly think Edward was written and designed with brown hair and changed to blonde later when Ubisoft realized all of the Assassins are running into each other. They ALL have black hair ... except Connor who actually has brown. Altair, Ezio, ... Haytham if you want to be technical since he was a main character briefly although not an Assassin, Desmond. William Miles also likely had black hair in his youth and Desmond's mother also likely has black or brown hair. I thought it was rather funny that not only is Edward a blonde but Caroline has red hair, another color typically not used in games. It's like game companies have a phobia with blonde and red hair along with phobias of female protagonists and non-white protagonists. Then when they do use them, they seem to try too hard by adding TOO many of that type, it's painfully obvious they weren't that type originally, or they're incredibly boring and flat to the point that they should've just been left out rather than shoving them in just to have them.

Noticed there seems to be a cat phobia, too. A cat's mentioned, the cat is usually the spawn of Satan and the person wants to kill it or they're indifferent. No one seems to want or have a pet cat in games ... or on TV. Hellboy's like the only character I've seen who has a love of cats. Everyone always seems to have dogs. Thought it was cute to see cats in AC3 ... only to be disappointed Connor nor Haytham actually pat them. The cat just rubs their legs while the dog gets a pat on the head. :(
I do agree that Anne Bonny and Mary Read were rather flat. Calico Jack didn't catch me as interesting so much as he looked like a pervert ... a drunk pervert. I'd rather string him up by his toes naked and use him for target practice than get more of his story. Would be nice to see something more on at least the two women to better explain Edward's relationship with them. Their ending is rather abrupt. I didn't see much of a reason for Edward to be so depressed over Mary Read's death. Seems to me he hardly knew her. Screwing with his head and introducing him to the Assassins doesn't really justify their relationship to me. Just no more Blackbeard. The guy got featured enough.

I would like to see a DLC that can be activated from free roam (like the ones in AC2 and ACB). Also i would like everything you said + more rare animals to hunt.

Where are you getting this information? It isn't correct at all. You get all the DLCs for free with the season pass.

Although if future DLC is announced it wont be covered by the season pass.

The annualization thing makes this pretty much impossible.

In Freedom cry, I would love to see a cameo appearance from Achilles when he was a young boy.

Adewale could come in contact with Achilles when he was a young boy looking for his mother and father and the side mission could focus on escorting him to his parents. Just a little hint on Achilles would be awesome and I was sad when he didn't come in contact with Edward.

Make it happen Ubi.

There's a small reference to Achilles in AC4

In one of those letters you can find, the writer says when he lived in Boston he worked for a carpenter named Davenport, most likely Achilles either descends from that man or a slave he owned or both.

Don't want to be obnoxious, but I get those information by just reading the content of the season pass before buying just because of the prize , that is all!

I'd feel a bit ripped off by now to be honest...
People basically spent $20 for a $10 dlc and character skins.
AC3 Season Pass was only $15 just last week,,like an idiot I didnt grab it though lol...
Even at $30, much more bang for the buck...
I value freedom cry at $5 and TOKW at $12
