How do I determine the characteristics of each aircraft? With the large list of aircraft in AEP, I don't always know the differences between each aircraft. There are no specifications for any aircraft; determining armament, ammo counts, engine type, etc. is extremely difficult.

Why does this game not have even rudimentary information about the aircraft? I would like to at least know whether my aircraft has cannon or machine guns, but even this is sometimes difficult to discern.

I figured that most people learned the aircraft by researching them all, but that is a very time-consuming process. Furthermore, how does one go about finding reliable information? There is a lot of false data out there, and most people aren't able to determine reliable information from misleading information.

The game has information on each aricraft. Start up IL2 and goto "view Objects" I believe, then hit aircraft.

Hmmm, interesting.

I have only used the View Objects function once, just to see what it was. I looked at a couple ground objoects and left. Had no idea there was more information.

Thanks for the help. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

This is a very good site detailing weapons and ammunition loadouts for aircraft in FB\AEP; http://www.partizanska-eskadrila.com/reference/ammo.html
If you want to know how an aircraft performs ingame, there's a rather handy little program available called IL2 Compare (current version is 2.4). If you make a search of this forum, you'll easily find some links for it.
