http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif I just got done posting a reply (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=857101043&m=384102214) about Silent Service 2, and was checking out the first title of the series Silent Service (http://www.thelegacy.de/Museum/5298/) released in 1985. The link has a couple screen shots, but what I really noticed was the BOX ART http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif! It has taken 20 years for the computer industry to finally meet or exceed some of the photorealistic art that's been on these covers. Now that we finally have the graphics and AI, it may take several more years for real world playability.

LOL

I'd set this in another way:

We had 20 years of dynamic campaigns and just when we can simulate waves and tidal effects, complex graphics and shaders, we dump the dynamic campaigns from all new games and reduce game-depth for the good of additional eyecandy.

Happened with LOMAC, will be repeated with SH3 for sure. Thanks UBI, btw......

i'm fairly sure it's a conspiracy just can't quite tell if it's the desire that's derived from the economic need to avoid producing the "everlasting light bulb" or just plain old abstract perversity...either way they ain't telling.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/10.gif i reckon it's that that really gets my goat the sense that no matter how good SH3 may well turn out to be we're still being conned...but as noted, that's not exclusive to SH3 by any means..

i'd really like to know the answer to this one i must admit..as virtualy all sim manufactures have abandoned the idea of dynamic campaigns...

yet not one of them (as this debate has been repeated on just about evry sim forum)
has given any reason what-so-ever they go dumb when it's mentioned...

please fill in this questionaire

i do not intend to include a dynamic campaign with my companys new simulation because;
