Hey guys,

I'm not up to speed with PC hardware these days, been out the game too long (more than 10 years). My machine was built by a friend of mine and it seems pretty beefy, but I would like to know if it is capable of running AC:4 at max settings. It's a little over 1yr old.

Hardware info according to CPUZ:

CPU - Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge - i7-2600 @3.40GHz - 4 core 8 thread
MB - Gigabyte Z68X-UD4-B3 - Sandy Bridge Chipset - Z68 Southbridge
RAM - 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 (PC3-10700) 667MHz
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 1Gb

Will any of this need to be upgraded (mainly concerned about the video card)?

Thanks

Absolutely yes, not at max settings but close.

If you want max settings and 60fps you will need beefier hardware than that but in your case I would suggest you to wait until 2014 to upgrade.
Your GPU is very capable and should be able to run every game well enough, that applies to Watch Dogs and all the AAA games of this fall as well.

Max settings is extremeley demanding in litterally every game, I have no idea why people are so hooked up on this stuff.
"Maxing out" a game is not supposed to be accessible, it's a luxury.

Just keep in mind that the difference between "high" and "very high" settings is illusive so don't make it an obsession otherwise your time with PC gaming is going to be extremely painful.
