The Captain of the Flying Dutchman was (according to myth of course, the ship probably never existed) called Willen van der Decken, not Davy Jones (who's part of an entirely different legend) and the ship supposedly sailed somewhere near Cape the Good Hope, nowhere near the Caribbean.

Also, according to an article on The Watch, we'll be able to disguise the Jackdaw as a ghost ship (British and French ships as well).

Don't worry, there are more than enough very interesting legends they could still use :P

I think I also saw an option in one of the store exclusive DLC packs to give the Jackdaw black sails, which would give it a Black Pearl look :P Too bad the odds of us actually going up against the Black Pearl (as an easter egg) are probably none-existent.

Flying Dutchman, Black Pearl, I'd be happy with either.

Maybe there could be drug trip missions like in FC3 where you do stuff like fight krakens and fight Davy Jones

I would prefer to have Dutch people in the game. They said ac3 would have Germans and Dutch people, didn't heard a word Dutch or German.

The Jaegers were German (I can make him kaput!) Don't remember any Dutchmen though.

They spoke German? Need to replay ac3 then :)

They didn't really speak it, they just spoke with German accents and occasionally threw in a German word.

Oh, and there was that one shopkeeper who called you "mein Freund"

^ They were just German immigrants.

Two of the store owners spoke Dutch. I believe it was one of the ones in the Frontier and the other was the one in New York. It was very hard to determine though, but I was able to confirm it. :P

Well the Dutch and Germans immigrated to America around the same time, they started to immigrate to America 200 or so years prior to the 18th Century.

These Dutch and German immigrants started the Armish cult/religion.

While the "actual" Flying Dutchman probably wouldn't work, it'd be a cool Easter egg to come across a ship without any captain or crew.
