RBJ used to hold the entire forum to ransom once, by his sheer audacity at saying absolute rubbish! I used to take him too seriously, but then I saw the funny side and it wasn`t so bad...

In fact think a lot of people began to see him as funny rather than serious and his power drained away...

He needed to be believed to exist... (I still think he was a MOD or two in disguise).

RBJ and his bragging about his trim-on-a-slider is the reason they made the trim so crappy and unresponsive. I'm not sure there ever was a "Trim Cheat" but he made everyone believe it existed. And the "fix" is worse than the "cheat."

I never saw much humor in that.

My guess is that he re-registered under another name. Anyone ever seen Badsight and RBJ in the same room at the same time? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

RBJ was ok. Voted as funniest community member last year. He was either a complete nerd who couldn't understand why people had a laugh at his expense, or else some clever dicky intentionally winding us all up. I favour the latter theory. Supposed to be down in Florida wasn't he?

Our most beloved brother RBJ has finally seen the light. He's entered a monastery as the most humble and insignificant monk member of our order, Little Brothers of St. Oleg's Holy Joystick, where he sweeps the floor night and day to beg pity for his ominous sin, cheat-trimming and saying that is adjusted to reality; serious dogma error that once made his image to be publicly burned. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

RayBanJockey was the reason I bought Forgotten Battles in the first place.

I was flipping through the forums at UBI, just looking for a game to buy when I noticed how fun this game and it's community can be. Now that RBJ is gone, I don't know if I'm going to buy the Forgotten Battles Ace Expansion Pack.

How can you have an 'Ace Expansion' without an Ace?

Every organization this size needs its own bad wrestler. RBJ is truly the Sputnik Monroe of Il2 FB.

That said, I conjecture that RBJ is now overly "unibrow conscious" after the barrage of our collective insensitive forum comments and is hiding or wearing a mask(another cunning bad wretler technique) and hiding his identity. For a guy like RBJ, tweazing would be tantamount to admitting defeat.

Remember that last avatar he was using where he looked all perspiration soaked and, uh, engrossed, well it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif looked like he was spectating some quarter movies...most disturbing.

Salute to RBJ! I'll never forget his story (copied from old forums) about how to fix the trim in FB:

"One day I was cruising through the galaxy in my tried and true spacecraft, the Trimrunner, enjoying IL2 and roxxoring newbs, when Oleg appeared 90m miles away in his Federation Battleship and attacked my trim mechanism with his secret, remote access trim tweaker. He thought if he could put enough distance between me, and max trim that he, and the rest of the galaxy would be safe. He was wrong. His starship was quite advanced, but I was aware it had no force-feedback or joystick calibration detectors. Realizing that I was under attack, I told my mechanic to stiffen the front spring and tie a knot in the elevator cable to shorten its travel. Knowing that the time it would take light was 30 seconds to reach Oleg, I instructed Sulu to head at light speed at Oleg and attack. "That would be suicide!" Sulu exclaimed, since one can only travel at light speed with a level trimmed plane, and coming out of light speed to attack with only level trim would be certain death. I told Sulu to obey orders and ask questions later. "Aye Aye, captain." As we sped towards Oleg, Oleg scoffed at the notion that a cropduster from Indiana, coming out of light speed with level trim could possibly be a threat. So convinced was he, that he dropped his sheilds in order to take a picture of this great moment, "The day the trimwhiners died" he thought. All the sudden, Captain RBJ appeared out of light speed and did crazy loop around his backside, and unleashed the photon torpedos! Like a man who was counting bullets but had never seen a 7 shot revolver, Oleg was only able to take a picture of his ship blowing up, just before he managed to escape in his escape pod. It is one of the greatest stories of all time and to this day is required reading for all aspiring aces."
