I have that magazine featuring the mossie you have scanned (back in my parents place, in a box in the attic). Brings back memories! Alas, no cutaway sections in vertical and horizonal for our modeller friend, only a 3d cutaway. Which I don't think is what he was after. Good to see though, cheers, she's a beautiful aircraft!

Well, now that you mention it, I was being harsh. I aplogogize, P1ngu!!!

I meant some constructive criticizm, but when i look at my post, there is nothing constructive there.

How about th√¬*s:

Pingu! Great work mate! However, could you please allign the pages you're scanning properly, straighten them out, and then re-upload them?
Also, try to decrease the size of images to approx 800x600 pixels since the book you're scanning from does not have high quality images to begin with.

Thanx, mate! Didn't mean to be rude. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

i can try reducing the dpi, these are 200 dpi and greyscale for the bw, mostly saved at 0quality jpeg for web
i tried 100dpi but the text was broken up
also the magazine is a bit larger than my scanners scanable area, and often its the centre pages, with nice rusty staples ready to scratch the scanner http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

thanks for the moire thing, ill read it when i get back from my driving lesson http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

oh and ive got TONS of info so id rather not rescan, unless its for a modeler, they look legible to me

Mags are difficult to scan from, they try to save costs by reducing quality of images. At first glance, they look fine, but if you magnify them, or scan them, deficiencies are apparent. What mags are you scanning from?

From memory, it appears to be the old Illustrated Encyclopedia Of Aircraft series from (probably) the 1980s. I have about a hundred of them.

Cheers,
