View Full Version : Snowy Areas in ACIV?

Hey guys I was thinking and realized that snow, which was such a big part of AC3, will likely not be a part of AC4. I mean, it is in the Caribbean afterall.

Do you think there will be ANY parts set in snowy areas? Maybe high up a mountain? The confirmation of no Connor in the game has made it very unlikely.

It seems strange that a feature that they spent so much time on will not be in the game. That is why I am convinced that snow will make its way into some part of the game.

Theories?

I'm certain there'll be no snow. Even in the high peaks, it's still a tropical country, and it'd take a LOT for some snow to be there. Being from Central America, I can tell you the only snow you see is on top of some of the highest volcanoes and even then, it's quite rare. And we've got some big volcanoes here. So I'm doubting that.

:(

Recycling snow mechanics with sand maybe? Maybe wet sand has the same effect as snow after a storm maybe? I'd probably put my money on no, but who knows.

That's what I was thinking...but when does the sand get really really deep on islands?

Off topic... Frost, do they like Russians in Egypt?

We don't really think much about Russia or Russians, so I'd be sorry to disappoint you and say they don't really have much of an opinion on Russian.

Egyptian men like Russian women though :| That's probably as much as I can give you about Egyptian-Russian relationships. (Please don't hate me. I'm only a messenger. I'm not sexist at all)

Is this just me, or was it kind of hard to realize that it was raining in AC3?

Snow wasn't that big a part of AC3. There's only a handful of missions during winter at all and only one or two in the Frontier where the snow actually matters. Winter was extremely underused imo.

I agree. At least they gave us the choice with pivot points and such at the end.

Don't forget Aveline's missions. There's a chance that one of them will take place in the snow. There was that one screenshot that showed her in what looked like a part of the Frontier.

I'm sure there will be snow in one of the ten games in the following ten years. Would feel kind of forced in a Caribbean setting.

No snow in this iteration of AC is very likely with it being the Caribbean, Ubisoft are going for the Pirates of the Caribbean theme, with loads of Rum maybe Captain Jack Sparrow will turn up somewhere? :D

Not unless UbiSoft adds a variable for climate change. Perhaps they could add an earthquake or two. ;)
