Its sleek but I think kind of ugly. Still it was quite a technological achievement, and very unique.

One of the (many) fascinating US designs to get the VJ-day axe (although the type was used for carrier trials after the war). The US certainly had a whole lot of new cards up its sleve when the war ended.....
