View Full Version : How many rivets to a 190?

I'm making a small one-page comic featuring 190
and its pilot. In one pic there'a almost perfect
side view and I wanted a little detail, so I
drew the rivet-thingies on the canopy, and then
the rivet on the cowling and then all the rivets
on the fuselage. I have a nice side-view in a book
for reference. But then I looked at a larger
artwork-type pic and saw tons more of rivets.
Was this plane only rivets? No engine, guns,
fuel, nothing?
How many rivets is it in a average 190, only
counting surface rivets and no popped rivets
after high speeds dives...

Dunno, but can tell you from personal experience, the F-16 has about 8 million of 'em!

Hmm.. I would be interested in that, too.
Here is my Fw 190 A-4 drawing, but no all rivets are there for sure:

That's a heck lot better than my drawing.
I'ts even accurate, I focked it up with
wing and pit position, put the pit too far ahead.

S! to you Zamex

Wow, Zamex, that is a really impressive drawing. How long did it take you to do? Congratulations- I'm saving that picture! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Can't wait to see the A5!

Not very long.
I did V5k prototype, and since then I am modyfying it. I did A-0, A-1, A-2, A-3 and A-4. I always add or change something.
But many hours on V5k.
