Jesper Kyd deserves something better. Moorhuhn for example.

If I were ubisoft, Jesper would have had a job for life, he'll always be number 1. Having said that, lets listen to how it turns out, I liking what I'm hearing so far.

I'm actually glad he won't be composing for this game. He's a great composer, yes. But he should keep moving between projects, he could end up getting stunted if he stayed with the same series. Wouldn't be taking advantage of his composing abilities. The soundtrack of Darksiders 2 was a freakin' beast (Got it recently and honestly, it quickly became one of my favorite games this gen), and honestly, I like how that could keep him changing around while keeping his style. Besides, I really haven't seen that many games keep the same composer forever. Let's look, for instance, at one of my favorite series of all time, Castlevania. Besides Michiru Yamane, who was behind many Metroidvanias (and even then, not all) the series has been consistently changing composers around. Thanks to that you have all sorts of amazing pieces and remakes of old pieces with the style of the new composer. Honestly, things like that could work perfectly with this series. Besides the fact constantly changing around composers could give more exposure to other composers they got, which is a good thing.

Did you have AC3 on mute?

Far Cry 3 had great music so I'm optimistic. Plus, the music we heard from the demo yesterday was pretty cool.

He didn't need to. There was barely any music to be heard. Which is a shame, because there are plenty of gems on the AC3 OST. They just weren't utilized properly in the game. Thankfully, ambient music is back this time (so they say).

Oh, I know Balfe didn't decide to cut the ambient music. But hopefully it's really back in AC4.

I actually don't remember a whole lot of the FC3 soundtrack, except for the wubwubs....
Maybe I should play through it again to get a feel of what mr. Tyler can do!

I'm not to worried about it honestly. I'm sure most of these people know what they are doing when it comes to AC and music choice. But then again I didn't even notice the ambient music was gone until way after I played the game. Haha. I honestly enjoyed the sounds of nature.

Kyd, and Balfe were both great musicians but let's not get stuck to wear if a change happens we become ignorant to it! This could seriously be one of the best soundtracks yet. There are is a ton of talent out there and we are just on the tip of the iceberg! So calm down! So far so good!

They should let them collaborate... or duke it out.

What we've heard In ACIV so far has been great, especially the track which played during the first E3 demo and the latest demo during naval battles and fort infiltration. It seems both Jesper and Patrice are the god-like figures in the AC community.

You did say it was hit and miss with him. Which games were you specifically referring to?

Hit - Far Cry 3.
Miss - Army of Two.

But I also said later that a friend who works in the music industry asked about it and the guy responded that he is enjoying it and trying his best and so my nerves were calmed.
