<EDITED to reflect the fact that in all the metric talk i misread the ONI heights in meters instaed of FEET, lol---thanks, longhorn!)>

He didn't say it was 30m, he showed a pic of a TBF at what he said was 30m, and at 300m, and asked which the dev shot was closer to. He said that they wouldn't drop above 60m.

The 2d dev shot attacking the DD is 45-55 FEET (15m) since the top of the bridge for that class is 45 FEET (15m or so). The first pic in that series looks to be higher, how much is hard to tell from the image.

The flight deck of the Akagi is probably around 45-50 FEET. If the AI is anything like FB, then the TBF is climbing on the shot after it dropped, right over the flight deck. It's probably 30-45 feet above the flight deck, and he said the drop limit was 60m (~197 feet). Seems reasonable to me.

I'm not sure what height they are dropped in all the pictures, but it is certainly lower than some shots we have seen, IMO. BTW, the AI in AEP is flaky in normal flight waypoints below 67m, and just plain won;t fly attack waypoints that low at all. The fact they are as low as they are in the dev shots is a good sign, IMHO.

So, all the drops shown are pretty bloody low, some at or around 50 feet.

Hey Tater, that is forty or fifty feet, not metres. If it was metres landing on the Akagi would be like landing on the top of a fifteen story tall building! The height of the Destroyer bridge is about forty-fifty feet, not counting the shallow draft, just height above water. That's called lost in translation. Hey, don't feel bad, I apologize for my own spelling and I'm American <ggg.> Keep em' flying, all the best, LongHorn
