What is the overall opinion of the addon? Does it enhance the graphics at all, or does IL remain the same? I love FB, but I am just really hesitant. I recently purchased Team Sabre for Black Hawk Down (I realize that is a different company), but it was crap and I wish I hadn't wasted the money ( Turned a great game into another Unreal, my opinion.) I just want to know, is the pacific theater accurate? Or is it like the one that I found for free?

Thanks

First off, if you play on-line, AEP is a must as most dogfight/coop arenas are going to switch to AEP.

Secondly, the new planes are fantastic. The 190 DM is great minus a bug or two, but Oleg is addressing every single bug that the users have posted.

AEP is essential in my opinion. And the forthcoming patch will add another handful of planes to the list and fix some much needed bugs and FM/DM's.

Think of FB as the foundation to the house. AEP is the roof. So, you have to ask yourself, "Do I want to get wet when it rains?"

Go buy it! You can spend 2x the cash drinking with your buddies in one night than what you will spend buying AEP. And you wont go to jail if you drive after playing AEP! LOL (Well, unless you try and B&Z the Police, that is...)

I totaly agree with Fehler.

There are so many cool planes to fly now.

Buy it and they will come. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Aces Expansion Pack doesn't provide a Pacific theatre, just a "pacific" dogfight map. The Pacific theatre is coming in a new product that will be called "Pacific Fighters".

AEP provides some new aircraft & maps and some flight model/damage models tweaks. There will soon be another patch to add even more.

If you fly online, I'd say AEP is essential. Offline, it's up to you if you want the additional a/c or not.

Well it`s offline benefits are improved AI and you get to fly some of the new planes in Campaign, like the 110, Spit and Gladiater. But Oleg has not put as much into the offline as he could (or should I blame Starshoy?). For instance, you can`t use the Sveno TB3 I16s as part of an I16 Campaign, no Me163 Campaign.

Fortumately, the patch will DEFINITELY install some of these planes for offline use, so there`s hope yet.
