Had some PC trouble (drive failed), so i got a new one and have re-installed.
Everything's fine - except AEP.
I just had a quick sortie (MP), and i see no spits, the player list (score) has the player white (no aircraft), they were flying and visible to others, but invisible to me, their bullets however were not.
2 possibilities are:
I backed up the old conf.ini and Users folder from the old install, and overwrote the new one with it (to save settings)- would this be the problem?
And, at the end of an install the machine locked up, and i had to reset. I did uninstall and re-install after that though.

Going to try uninstalling and reinstalling again now...

As an off-line-only player I have the invisible plane problem with one aircraft too: the B-25.

Strange things happen. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Did you also reinstalled your video driver and/or did you try to run this game in directX?

no problem offline, only online MP...
unfortunately it looks like format time.

You know, firstly you should at least get it right, secondly, some poor dummy will try that out.
If you can't help, don't be part of the problem

I remember when I first installed FB. All my plane, with exception to a few gages and flaps, were invisible. I had to upgrade my video driver, then it was fine.

I don't know your problem but could it have to do with your graphic settings or vid card? Just an idea, obviously I'm no expert.

reinstall FB, patch to 2.01, then patch to 2.04, that should at least sort out the invisible b-25

Hope that is some help

Hmm, can you clearify the problem, does this mean that every other player online in the server you choose shows up white in the player list on your end? Or only Spitfires? What model? But they do fly around and they shoot you all the same? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

you probably forgot to install all patches or in right order.
install 2.01+2.04 agaain that should fix it
.if not install whole game again but remember to take backup from pilots folder just in case.

Hiya GW. Don't forget to reboot after you uninstall. Then reinstall and patch up appropriately (I even reboot after each patch). I would not recommend transfer of your conf.ini file either. Take the extra time and reap the benfits of a clean install and reconfigure to your liking.

If it's a new HD, a format may be an easy solution. If not, then it will be a bigger hassle as you'll lose EVERYTHING...but I'm sure you knew that.

Hmm, a cadet of our squad experienced this just a bit ago, about 1945hrs(CST), he has FB installed correctly and with the patches in the right order. Very puzzling.
