I dont know about you guys, but I hear alot of songs on this track that sound alot like songs from different games and movies. There is one song in the game that starts of alot like a song in Fallout New Vegas. Another song sounds alot like a song from Batman DK. And there are a few more that i noticed while playing. what have you guys or gals noticed while listening to it?

PS. the song Superhuman Damned is the one that sounds like the fallout song

I don't know, but the soundtrack often reminds me of Sherlock Holmes.

That's right. Never happened with Jesper Kyds AC soundtracks. That's what I mean when I say Kyds style is unique.

Yeah, I noticed this as well. There's one track that sounds A LOT like a track from Halo 3 ODST.

Listen to this, 3 second in... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7AUe82h630 from AC3 MP menu music

Then listen to this 10 seconds in, from Halo 3 ODST. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okFLt9lGxlc This isn't the only part of the soundtrack that uses this piece either. I know it's really only a few notes, but it's so blatantly similar that I'm surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit considering there's always one when it comes to music.

The multiplayer menu music has the same feel as the Mass Effect MP music

If by unique you mean there's never a single dramatic moment in his music than yes you'd be correct. He's good at ambient tracks, but that's pretty much it.

@OP, I think AC3's soundtrack is stellar, the only negative I find is the lack of ambient music (for whatever reason that may have happened).

I could post a lot more but I'm limited to one video for some stupid reason.

Easily the weakest soundtrack of the series, almost completely forgettable.

Agreed. ToKW had more memorable tracks than AC3's soundtrack.

To me that "honour" goes to ACBs one! Balfe did a very solid job, problem is, you DO NOT get to hear it during freeroam......

And before anyone brings up the whole no ambient music, that's not Balfe's fault. He composed many tracks, including a ton of unreleased, that could've worked in freeroam. Blame the developers for not actually implementing them.
