has Oleg and team created a terrain engine yet?

I'd dearly love to see what they've invented (hopefully SOAR rendering).

Hopefully it'll be something like 1C's Battlefield Command (sorry, now renamed to Wartime Command), some of the landscape shots for that look astounding.

Hmm, to me Wartime Command looks like it uses the exact same terrain engine as FB basically. Only its been tweeked to allow grass and tighter, more detailed scenery (on way smaller maps probably).

Hope they use a different palette and lighting. The UK (even when we were black n white) has a generally washed out and dull look to it - pretty much all year round. Too colourful and it won't look right.

Oleg said that the channel map is going to be the most complex and detailed map they are creating so far and that he will show it in a dev update in the future.
