Hi there

I just wanted to know as I really want to start flying with the full cockpit showing if it is possible to have the target indicator arrows displayed. I find it very difficult to use the full cockpit and I don't have a clue where the enemy is as visibility is very limited.

If there is default way are there mods that adds this functionality?

Why can you only get these arrows when you disable the cockpit view?

Regards,
Gian

Nope, no way to have the arrows with 'pit on.

Which is part of it's appeal http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Why? because 'pit off is considered to be more 'game' than sim.

Im pretty sure those arrows are only for no-cockpit view.

when the cockpits on you just have to use your awareness, maps and (poss. external padlock) to determine the target. I stopped using no cockpit fairly early on- u get used to determining your target and looking about.

for ground targets look for AAA fire.

No arrows...

just try cockpit only for a while and you get used to it. Although... the arrows do seem silly on nocockpit since you have no view obstructions what-so-ever.

And you won't miss them either once you get into the Cockpit only mode.

Tastes differ...
I fly no cockpit only, 'cause i love hanggliding.
As a mid way solution you can turn icons on and fly in the cockpit.

As pointed out above, no arrows in Cockpit View. I too, sometimes miss that green cone that pointed towards my selected target in MSCFS1&2. I also find the multiarrow indications all around my screen in Wonder Woman view more confusing than helpful.

It helps to make the most of the views available to you. I use Wide Field of View most often, and have buttons or keys reassigned to Look Up and Look Down. If you use these at the same time as you move your POV hatswitch, your view is elevated or depressed 45 degrees. In Wide FOV, this gives you nearly full coverage out thru your canopy.

It takes a while to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, you'll find it very useful in a dogfight.

cheers
