Hey thats great. You warmed my heart.

Here is my gift to the forum: http://www.sqlite.org/

Sure, it probably makes no sense to most of you, but to the 1 person it does make sense to: happy coding!

Interesting but how's the speed of the app where you use the API?Thye say is unprecedented http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.I don't like some of the not supported features, but what I want to know is if transactions are supported. I use at home good ole Postgresql. At work I have to work in Oracle.Sometimes DB2,but very rarely.
Besides, don't know if you seen the news , but postgresql will be also windoze native.I believe this will spread this nice DB engine, which is really my favorite.

Yes, transactions are there.

Speed: http://www.sqlite.org/speed.html

Take my word for it though: its damned fast.

Just be prepared to be shocked. Perms are based on file system. No data types. No authentication. It freaks ya out at first, but then you start to think "maybe this is how it should have been done all along".

ROFL! I really thought this was one of the most clever, and funny posts EVER!

Think of the irony in the thread title...

Off Topic: a Be Nice Today thread!

LOL, why is that funny? Because the opposite would be...

On Topic: Be Mean Today!

That is rich!

File system security based is no stranger nowaday.Depends who's the king in the castle.Weak admin , weak apps (like me for example.Well I'm not that weak but I do this for a hobby only). And should be fast,I read more on it.I'm waiting for Reiser4 to be included in the next kernels to give it a whirl on my brand new SATA.I have sometimes the feeling that it doesn't moves too fast.hdparms shows good results, but to benchmark you have to cease every activity you do atm.
Neverthless,if I'd have some time I can give it a try.

The gift of the human heart is not necessarily that it beats to keep us alive, but that it can beat in tune with another...

I heard that when you hear music your heart tries to beat in rhythm with it.

Yes - in the 70s when 'Disco' music was invented it was all pitched at 120bpm as that would raise the tempo of your heart and you'd feel uplifted.
