I haven't really heard any so I'll start some.

- Addon will be released in "Two Weeks".

- The Zero and the Ki-84 will cause the Soviet T & B pilots to cry like little girls by beating them at their own game.

- I hear UBI is going to have "Routine Forum Maintenance" occurring for one week after the P-51 is released to avoid complete shut down of the world wide web.

- I hear that the real Bf109 will live again!

/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I also want to say the I want the patch NOW NOW NOW!

Are we there yet?

Not to forget the one and only B-17 G Flying Fortress. Although she'll be only in it as an AI plane, it'll sure be fun seeing her in action.

Hell, I'll host my own own server if thats the only way to ensure the B-17 will be flyable!

Hm, I got an idea....

I think I would take the B-17G over the Pe-8. Better defensive and I hope better dmg resistant. The 20MM on the Pe-8 is rather deadly, but they can be avoided. On the B-17, there is no blind spot. Sure, I will miss the 5000kg bomb, but there are benifits to carpet bombing airfields with lots of 250lb or 500lb bombs. The reason why the B-17 had such a low bomb load was because it had to carry a LOT of fuel. In IL2, you dont need 6 hours of fuel, and you should be able to carrie a LOT more bombs.

In Europ the "normal" loadout was 6000lb of bombs and 2700gal. But it can do 1700gal and 9600lb of bombs. Not bad.

I'll take a Lanc thank you. Over 8000KG of bomb load will do some major damage.

I find the 109 powerful now...I'm quite deadly with it from time to time.

I love this "two weeks" joke. Its a fantastic thing about release dates...you really never know, the guys doing the stuff never really know...so perpetually the release date is always two weeks, until it has been released. Simple enough http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

k4 is just as good as A9 . you just gotta use manual prop. and yes you can fly it on manual and not blow the engine. you . most just dont know how to fly it anymore. its just as deadly as it was but it now takes skill to fly the k4 instead of fullthrottle and fire. actually in a 1 v 1 the k4 will win every time. the only plane capable of handling the k4 in a 1 v 1 is the dora. or a jug if it can get over 6k up.

Holy "Going off on a tangent" Batman! ROFLMAO. I know you had to be making a reply to another thread! Oh my, I nearly shot soda out of my nose when I read this. I scrolled up, re-read all the posts and said.. What the hell if this guy replying to? No one said a thing about the K-4!

Thanks mate, that was the funniest thing I have read in a while. I cant stop laughing!

You're assuming, Herr Gibbage, that Oleg will give us the ability to take more bombs, and less fuel. I don't think that's an option on any of the loadouts for any of the other a/c in FB, what makes you think it would be for the B-17? Do you know something about this particular addon that we don't?

My little birdy tells me the patch is still in its infancy. I am betting a month or more before it is released. More likely it will be 2 or 3 months, but lets be optimistic so we can be dissappointed and have something to whine about /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif .

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

To be serous, I'd like to see a "1.12" released with Bf109 CEM adjustment only. Then I'd be happy to wait for the addon a/c which must take more time to complete.

Either way I'm looking forward to it. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I'm still deciding what to fly first, P-51, A6m5 or Ki-84.

Woe! You know I never thought that through. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Gosh, makes you feel like a little kid again.

I am hoping the A6M2 makes it in January. The 5 was a failed attempt to keep the Zero competitive and did not have the agility of the 2. What I really want is the Ki~43 with butterfly flaps just to fly around in--that's the most acrobatic monoplane of the WW2 era.
