Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Nice link Lead, I actually toyed around with doing something like this with the skins I remove at work sometime ago and even tried one, see the Picture http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif it was never finished, i was going to add the P51 stencil data panel partially on the top left corner, it is on a wing skin and rivetted to a couple of sections to give it a curvature, its not cut out roughly but hand filed to get the shape without any sharp edges, I then added some rivetting as well as leaving the original rivetting inplace to make it look like a skin section, the rear face is in green primer... but as said it gathers dust in a cupboard now http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
