Title explains itself.

AC2 > AC3 > AC1 > Brotherhood > ACR

AC2 simply had more missions in each sequence, but AC3 has more side.

I think the thing with Assassins Creed 3 is the amount of side missions and optional objectives which enhance the longevity of the game i actualy thought AC2 seemed longer .

I think I read somewhere that AC3 has 2/3 side missions and 1/3 main story.
So with side missions, AC3 is probably the longest, without it's AC2.

About the other games... I'm not sure. I finished ACB after 24 hours and ACR after 20, and AC1 probably after 12.
I can only guess though, but I definately spent more time with ACB and ACR.

Making all side missions and collecting all items you can spend 40 hours, but in my opinion the sides goals of AC3 are the worst of all AC except the 1.

Counting all the side stuff, I think ACB is ahead of AC1.

Have you tried to collect all flags in every city and in the Kingdom? Not to mention the 60 Templars scattered around the whole game. It took me over 3 years to collect all flags in the cities, then I gave up, started a new game, and used the internet for the cities. Finding Templars and flags in the Kingdom wasn't hard at all. Just gotta be REALLY careful where you look. If you accidentally skip a flag in a section of a village, you'll find yourself going through the whole entire Kingdom again looking for 1 flag. It is a pain in the ***, happened to me once, won't let it happen again.

Only an idiot would collect the flags.

Flags + templars don't count as side content in AC1.

Side collectibles don't count in general.

The main campaign (not counting stuff like the naval missions, homestead missions, and other side stuff) is pretty short for an AC title, like maybe 10-15 hours at max.

I'm almost depressed seeing how short the sequences are compared to AC2.

So...anyone trying to finish a game 100% is an idiot? You pretty much just called everyone on the forums that.

Flags don't count for 100% lol

Also, how the hell is collecting things SIDE content now? Seriously? that's low standard.

Yes it does. Ignoring collectibles won't get you 100% sync. Plus I'm a completionist. I don't like leaving a game without finishing everything within it (if the game is good enough)

Just googled, only Xbox360 version has some achievement for flag collecting. Otherwise no reward, so there you have it.

Oh and, Interview with Patrice Desilets:

I collected them for achievements, nothing more :)
