You mean in game? or the "profile"?

No matter, I'll do both -

These are coasties settings but I use them as well - if anyone has a "Tighter" set then lemme know, these do me fine at the moment.......

as you can see - the X, Y and Z axes are the same, I've not tweaked them from coasties setup, they seem to offer quite reasonbable control - only other changes I've done is put the throttle on my mousewheel, and elevator trim on my FFB2 throttle (U axis)

this help? Anybody come up with tighter/better settings as I said, lemme know! Always looking to improve....

I had logitech for 3 to 4 years and I really liked it. I went on to the microsoft stick cos it was recommended continuously by my Squad for over a year and I spotted one quite by accident.

Differences:
I had two Logitechs.

3D Digital wingman:

1.A good robust stick.
2.Good to the grip, heavy.
3.Twist stick was ok.
4.Lasted me 2 and half years before centre control became too loose.

Logitech 2.4 cordless was it`s replacement.
1.No probs with the cordless.
2.Plenty of buttons.
3.Twist stick ok.
4.Too light.
5. doesn`t feel it`ll last too long.

BIGGEST PROBLEM OF THESE 2 STICKS: PROFILING.

I was always having to reconfigure these sticks to get just the right settings to shoot anything down without the jumps in the stick. It sometimes took me weeks to get it just right. Even the FB profiler I D\L didn`t suit me.

Then i`d have to do it all over again a month or too later due to reinstallation or because it needed more fine tuning or it just forgot the setting. I never touch the FB ingame settings, it just confuses the situation.

I thought this was normal until I heard about the MS Sidewinder.

The Sidewinder:

1.Excellent Man-like grip handle (it`s made for adults). I let my 12 year old daughter try it with the FF and she couldn`t handle it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

2.Strong, sturdy, heavy base.

3.Could use a couple more buttons.

4. Looks like a Man`s stick. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif No poncy, pink colours.

5. How long will it last? That`s the question - only had one month so far...

6. Setting up the stick to my preference in the Profiler was SOOO easy! Took me about an hour to set it just right. Not re-adjusted since (about a month now). Never touch ingame FB settings.

That`s it`s beauty - the stick is already smooth and requires only minor personal adjustments. The Logitech is good, Microsoft`s (and I`m not their fan) is by far better!

Why are they not doing this stick any more? Because they`re crazy?? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif

There have been several threads with people asking which joystick to get etc. and everyone keeps saying the MS FFB 2 is the best one, but MS stopped making them. I did look all over the place for 2 weeks before going to Ebay. Theres quite a few still being auctioned.

As for the Logitech; I've had it about a year now. The twist handle doesnt work anymore, so I have it locked. The plastic is actually peeling off the hat-switch (I must have a very acidic thumb...) and there's way to much play when it's centered.

That should work for the MSPP2 too right? Because its got the exact layout only the FFB has Force Feedback and only looks a tiny bit different.

yeah should do - the profiles between sticks are "convertible" to each others format using the MS 4.0 software - I had a PP2 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif they're good sticks as well http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
