yah but beware, laptop video cards are not supported by any of those games, they might work though but if you contacted support, they will say its listed in the requirements, so do it at your own risk.

Hi there,

All Uplay enabled games [AC3 being one of them] allow you to install on multiple PC's - you just need to sign in with the same uPlay account to access your games http://static5.cdn.ubi.com/u/ubiforums/20120411.419/images/smilies/smile.png

You can only use one at a time though http://static5.cdn.ubi.com/u/ubiforums/20120411.419/images/smilies/wink.png

If it is an issue with the CD itself try to clean it.

I would rather be worried about Uplay than the games. Don't know about win8 but on win7 x64 both ac2 and brotherhood can't connect with that crappy software :(

Really?

Many use both Win 7 and Uplay without issues..

I myself use it without any problems.

Have you tried deleting your Host file? [sometimes torrent software can alter it - so if you have downloaded any software, you may want to remove the host file]

Ditto. I run all AC installments on Win 7 64-bit and have no problem with them and Uplay.

My hosts file is just fine, but I deleted it anyway. I'm pretty sure it's because of the internet settings as all my ports appear to be blocked. But all other software connects just fine on default settings, Steam incluided, so it's Uplay having issues, not my system or internet connection.

I had the game running good on Windows 8 (64 bit)
I just upgrade to the Windows 8.1 RTM (64 bit) and the game is now crashing. No luck getting it to run.
Tried reinstalling. upgraded display drivers.

My Specs: I'm using a Intel i7-4770k with 16GB of RAM. I am using the on chip graphics card (Intel HD4600)
This game was working on my previous machine (Intel I5-3570K with HD4000 on chip graphics)

So the only thing that has changed is the Motherboard, CPU and the OS.

Windows 8.1 is not officially released, thus RTM version exists for manufacturers not for consumers, your problem is in the drivers, you need to wait until the official release and look for Intel updated drivers, it might take 1-2 months though to get a stable driver on new O.S.

As a general advise, Never ever upgrade to new O.S at launch, there will be plenty of problems that will be addressed by manufacturers and fixed after 1-3 months, always upgrade 3 months after release.

Hi, I've bought AC2 for PC yesterday and I've installed it, but after the uPlay screen I can't launch the game itself ! In fact there is just a white window that doesn't load... I've checked my computer is able to run the game, but I'm running on Windows 8.1... Is the OS the reason of that ? Should I reinitialize my computer to run on Windows 8 and launch the game ? Thanks :) (and please forgive the language errors of a French man ^^)
