Usually I don't play the board games cause I don't care much for them but when trying to get 100% completion I need to win a total of $500 from them and I need to win 1 game from each of the 3 board games at the Homestead. I've been trying for hours and I just don't think it's possible to win these things. Like 9 mans Morris (can be played at the Miles End tavern in the Homestead) is impossible. If I go first, he mirrors me and then somehow reverses the strategy so he comes out on top. He sets the board in a way that counters every possible move I make. He thinks 50 moves ahead. Every time he finds a way to trap all but one of my pieces and then he moves a few pieces in and out a row of 3 and destroys me. I've come close to beating him twice. Each time I did so he offered a draw if I took the draw then I win no money and if I reject it then I automatically lose. It's irritating! If I go second he makes it even more impossible to beat. Fanarona is even worse. If I go first my opponent pulls off a combo on his first move and if I go second he blocks me from being able to pull off a combo on my first move. I've been able to get really good combos as well but he always comes out on top. I've Gotten to where it was my 7 pieces against his 1 and he still managed to win. It was incredibly frustrating. Bowls is easy I win that almost every time but the other 2 are impossible.

Please give me a good strategy on how to beat these games. If you win them a lot please tell me what you do. It's really driving me insane.

I suggest looking up some videos. For winning the $500, playing 6 Man's Morris is pretty easy once you learn the strategy. 9 Man's Morris becomes pretty simple too once you learn the strategy as well.
This video helped me out a lot with 6 Man's Morris: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opOO-tG6TVs

yep , it's possible to beat them all. It's just Difficult for a change & takes time to learn the winning strategies, sadistically harsh on the Homestead ( 9 Morris)
But they can all be beaten even by people who don't like board games & aren't good at them = I'm proof of that.

For All the Homestead games Don't make 1st move , always go 2nd - Bowls with lumberers Terry/Godfrey - Fanarona with Achilles/ Priest in the manor - 9 Men morris with Oliver at the Inn.
