I ain't your expert on this issue, but as I understand it, anything that significantly loads your CPU as host inhibits its ability to manage the inputs and outputs. If your CPU is limited in that regard, then yes it could increase lag. Not aware of any other specific issues, sorry.

Based on my experience, yes. And the more who record, the worse it gets.

In my experience, the online track recorder causes no noticable performance hit whatsoever. No frame hit, no real increase in memory usage.

The track files, even long ones, seem far too small to cause any performance issues. But it would depend on the machine.
