So who controls the Animus at the end of the game? In one of the Epilogue missions you hear a guy speaking saying you have to collect these Pivots.

It can not be Desmond.

I heard it's an Abstergo agent.

Have they been in the games before or not?

It could be Erudito cracking the Animus or abstergo's database with Desmond's memories

I am, through my PC. There is absolutely no need for a middleman.

They've been building up this finnish guy called Otso Berg on AC initiates lately, I have a feeling he might have something to do with it. Could also be the guy you're playing as in ACR's multiplayer.

I think it is the one who does the ACR's multiplyer.

Really? I thought it was Erudito.

Although it makes sense since Abstergo have the Abstergo Entertainment thing out there, and William did mention they tried to access his memories and could've saved them while he was there.

Who is Erudito?

Who is Erudito?

Another faction in AC who we don't actually know yet. To be honest, I personally believe they've been poorly introduced / mentioned in the storyline, they've been overly cryptic with them.

However I'd recommend the Wikipedia page for it to get a decent explanation.

Almost certainly, it seems.

They might add them into the new game if they do one :D

I do believe there's a third faction out there. Perhaps Erudito is that third faction. So far their goals align with the Assassins. But who knows, maybe they have a different agenda altogether.

Well the trophy you receive for finishing the pivots does show an Abstergo logo.

Checking your pivots on the map will also show "[your name here] is synchronised with the cloud." or something like that. Maybe they had Desmond's memories backed up somewhere at Abstergo and managed to make them accessible to everyone. The cloud could be the animus network they have at Abstergo, it's shown they have atleast one huge room filled with them.

Probably won't ever be mentioned again though.

Personally, I think they just made it this way so that you can keep playing.
I am SICK of people taking simple things that don;t have a lore and making it a huge storyline war.

In another game I play, to go places you just type '/join (room name)' and people argued forever over it's physics.

If they made Desmond dead in the after game, would you REALLY want to have to restart on another save file to make it ALL lore?
That's what I thought. It's just so you could keep playing. NOT FOR STORY STUFF!

Are all the temperlas dead if they are then it can not be one of them doing it. Can it?

Who said all the Templars are dead? Also, not all people working at Abstergo are Templars ;)

Yes. abstergo is a Templar front. But not all Abstergo employees are Templars, or even aware of the Order. That is significant.

Hahaha if everyone in Abstergo knew then I think their secret would be spreading like wildfire.

And who's to say all of the templars are working together? Perhaps the Templar order has become so big that it has splintered?

Does this mean if they do a new game for AC there will be new Templars then?

There's always new templars. Haytham said it best himself. "Even when your kind appears to triumph... still we rise again. Do you know why? It is because the Order is born of a realization. We require no creed. No indoctrination by desperate old men. All we need is that the world be as it is. This is why the Templars can never be destroyed."

So there will always be templars. If you're refering to Warren Vidic being killed, he wasn't the top ranking Templar. He was a high ranking Templar, but not the Grand Master.
