As soon as I click Play in the Uplay browser I get the following:

I am having similar problem.I installed the game from dvd,everything worked fine till the end of intro video, then there is a black screen and then the error-"AC3SP.exe has stopped working" is shown. I meet the system requirements,and i use lucid virtu(which never had any problem so far),already updated gpu drivers. The error shown is-

My AC3 is getting crashed randomly while i'm in Gameplay.....
Its reporting that " AC3SP.exe has stopped Working "

Pls Someone help me to Solve this Problem :(

Hello my friend! I had the same problem but I solved it.You must setup the latest drivers of your system.Example:I have Ati.I downloaded the latest versions of drivers one of them (beta) and I setup my graphic cards latest drivers.After these,I will setup Driverscanner 2013 and scanned my drivers.It founds old drivers and it download these drivers latest versions.And I installed them too except ati (for my system) and my graphic card drivers.After all of these,I closed DEP.And I solved my problem sorry for my bad English.I wish you solve your problems too

Hey Hey People! I have the same issue as well, but I have no clue on how to fix this issue and would like some help on this. Any and all advice is appreciated. I got this game for my laptop the day after it came out on the PC. The game crashes right after I start the game up via UPlay and I looked at the error report and it comes up as the following:
