I pretty much just received an email that my PS3 edition which I paid for back in August has been cancelled.
Is this something common right now?
Pretty furious right now and any replies would be appreciated.

Yes, my order has also been cancelled. Quite angry especially considering the amount of notice that we recieved.

Was your money taken when you ordered? A lot of people seem to not have had their payment taken and just ordered another one.
It's not as simple as that with mine because I'm 80 down!

Same here. Im really annoyed because they emailed AFTER the customer lines closed. So basically we might miss out on our Freedom editions unless you can afford to re-order, which I cant.

Freedoms are being dispatched tonight but people arn't getting their dispatch email.

I think due to high orders, Ubisoft are really cocking up their own system.

I ordered mine on the release date for the preorder, they must have known how many orders they needed to ship so if that's there excuse it is not good enough.
I also can't afford to order another copy as they haven't refunded my 80 which they took back in March.

Also like TheAlphaFest said to send these out after customer service is closed, is shocking and disgusting customer service. I am so mad right now.

I've got a post on there too aha.
It's obvious they're purposely not replying to anything until they can come up with an excuse.

Ubisoft support - are a different department from ubishop support - they are a different team, so may not have access to your order information stright away.

Also I'm sorry to say - Forum staff do not have access to your order information - so I can't offer a reason.

best people to talk to and ask, are Ubishop Support - links are below for the main regions - you can either contact them via the website - or - you can call them - phone numbers are on the contact pages - be aware charges may apply for phone calls.

I can only offer an apology on behalf of the Ubishop

This is where the problem could be, if you preordered months ago using the card payment they take the payment the moment you preorder BUT its just for authorisation and gets put back in your account days later, so some people may think its been paid for when it hasn't, also they did another 'authorisation' on the 16th again where its taken from your account and then put back in days later, basically this is a major fault on Ubisofts half where they should notify you prior to taking funds from your account (other game companies do it why can't they), but most importantly should notify customers if they have cancelled their order.

The only way you will know if the money has been taken is to contact your bank or check your statements online, if there are no transactions showing for it then it means it was just 'authorisation' and not the actual payment

I get that they do this so thats fine but surely if someone has pre ordered something they should send an email out saying 'There is an issue with us taking your payment please call us on .......' Rather than the day before release after their customer service dept is closed saying my order is cancelled. It's like these massive companies don't think about the reprocussions of things they do.

Exactly, why can't they notify customers as soon as the payment has been rejected? At least it gives them a chance to put the funds in the bank and re-order it!

Hi Guys,

Quick update as to why some people may have had orders canceled, this is from Ubishop and may explain the reason your order was canceled:

As part of the standard procedure for processing orders, we requested authorisation from your bank / credit card company to reserve payment for your order. Unfortunately our request for authorisation was refused. This means we cannot take money from the account and therefore cannot fulfil your original order. We offer my sincerest apologies that we could not complete your order. There is still some versions of the game available for sale if you wish to attempt to re-order the game from our website.

I had the 'out of stock' email but when I checked which credit card I used I found out it expired in July, I just re ordered it on a newer card and found theres more in stock.
