1.I thought Connor had two Tomahawks I didn't know he only had one until I took a closer look at the Gameplay Demos
2.I thought Ezio was Serious all the time before I actually played AC2 because he was silent and never talked during the trailers.
3.I had no idea there was a modren aspect to Assassin creed, before I thought it was just the tale of a hooded guy.
Do you have any misconceptions about AC before or after you played the games.

I always knew it wasn't

I'm from the past...

I also didn't know about the modern aspect of AC until I actually played AC1.

My misconceptions:
Didn't know about the modern aspect
Didn't know there'd be a Brotherhood and Revelations (thought it'd be a trilogy like they had planned)
Didn't know they'd release a new title every year
Back when AC3 was revealed, I didn't know you couldn't throw the tomahawk (I enjoyed throwing the tomahawks in RDR)
Finally, I was expected the guards in AC2 to be as 'scary' and aggressive as the guards in AC1, but they weren't (I wouldn't dare start a fight with the guards in AC1) :P

Almost no one did. That was AC1's best kept secret and it was blown wide open within like a minute of pressing the start button.

And my biggest misconception was thinking we'd get the crossbow in AC1 that Altair used in the cinematic trailer. Took 3 games for that **** thing to show up.

When I first picked up AC1 in early 2009, I didn't know the Assassins had their own agenda. I just thought Altair was basically a hitman for hire.

I also sort of thought the same thing. I didn't know the Assassin's were this whole big organisation with their own agenda like you said.

This is really turning into a "What you did not like" thread -__-

Before AC1 came out no one knew about the modern day aspect. I didn't like it at first but now I realize it's genius. The other thing was that I assumed Altair and Ezio were related and that we were seeing one bloodline that leads to Desmond.

Most of those aren't misconceptions.

when I shown the trailer for AC1 when it announced, My cousin told me this game was developed by Ubisoft.
Honestly, I thought this was a Prince of Persia game because I only heard of Ubisoft because of Prince of Persia: the Two Thrones.

Well it did begin life as a PoP spinoff...

Yes, as a prequel of sorts right? if i remember correctly there was some concept art of Alta´r riding a horse with the Prince as a kid.

Dunno about that, I just remember seeing a tester trailer for it.

Like others have said, I didn't know there was a modern aspect until after I had started playing AC1. I remeber checking the cover on the box, to make sure I had bought the right game :p

Before playing AC1, while still thinking about getting it, I had no idea there was a modern day aspect. Thought it was Medieval only.

I didn't get in AC until ACII was in the build up, at which point they were talking openly about the modern-day storyline.

My misconception was that the game was good. It's actually EPIC.
