Waiting is hard, and a month and a half is a long time.

How are you guys dealing with waiting for the game to come out?

Patience, young grasshopper. Good things come to those who wait.

Well I start my 2nd year of uni next week so the wait till AC3 is going to be a hard one. Although with me actually having stuff to do time should go by faster. Ive restricted myself from playing any new games ive until october and i'm learing the piano so that can add to me doing something while time passes. I suggest you find a time consuming hobby that you may enjoy so you can keep your mind AC3. Trust me by the time AC3 comes out you would have wondered where all that time went.

We revive a thread of mine called "Countdown to the Finale - Convince time"

Where we convince time to move faster:p

It worked last year xD

For me, the waiting is one of my favourite parts of getting a game. All the hype, the speculation, the second guessing, the arguments over the blurriest screen captures... ah, good times :p It's one of those things people tend to hate while they experience it, but miss when it's gone.

Yes, let's convince time to go faster, that sounds like a wonderful idea.

I agree. Waiting is awesome, but only in hindsight.

At the moment, this is painful. I don't know how many times I can rewatch the videos that have come out or replay my favorite missions in other games before my head explodes. On the bright side, when November 20th finally rolls around, despite me knowing the whole story thanks to everyone else getting it a month earlier, I will be ecstatic.

Well, my general strategy thus far has been to rack up almost a thousand posts here in less than three months.

Let's just call it my coping mechanism

Well, it's only 5/6 weeks for consoles, 9/10 for PC, and for those of us who will be forced to wait until Decber 25, it's about 13/14 weeks.

It'll fly

I like that thread.:D

Right now I'm just trying to keep myself busy. I'm also replaying AC1-ACR now. I'm near the end of AC1, and it's funny actually, I'm actually getting really anxious and excited to play AC2. It's almost like when it was first released. Oh bloody hell, it's bringing back so many memories... *sniffle*

Just keep yourself busy. It's easier if you're at school, college or uni, but I don't go back until 26th September.

Luckily I'm quite busy during the day, so time has been going by quite quickly. I've also been learning how to code.

I rewatch all the game play videos and interviews over and over and I replay the old games....It doesn't help much.

As of next week I will be starting my AC omnibus, that should keep me occupied for the best part of a month, hopefully I will receive ACIII a few days early too, which will help.

I hope so, I've been waiting 9 years for Beyond Good & Evil 2 and counting:mad:, 1.5 months is nothing compared to that, it's the home stretch!

You know, what's even harder? Not getting spoiled! I don't wanted to read the achievements list but my impatience led me to do this and I got spoiled. :(

I just don't want them to tell us anything about AC3 anymore. So after the dev diaries finish. I just want one glimpse of desmond before 1 week of release, but that's it!

And a question, do you gonna read the achievements when you got the game? I don't want to but i am sure i will... why is it soooo hard?:(

How do I cope? I got to Uni with the number of days remaining to console release date written on my hand. I check it a few times a day to see if it's changed. I come home, and I continue my play-through of the series in preparation. I check for updates. I go to sleep. I have dreams about the game arriving on my doorstep - or that I am already playing it.
I wake up, and repeat.

I think my parents are getting kinda worried...

How to cope? Go revise for exams, go outside and socialise and don't look at AC videos unless a new one is released otherwise you become obsessed.

Well, I tried to explain to explain to my parents that it's my way of coping. MY dad just walks through when I'm playing and says things like, "Make the horse go on the roof!"

Also, anyone struggling should do what I do and make friendship bracelets. It's mindless and passes the time quickly and you have nice thing to wear at the end.

(I know most of you are male. But bracelets are fun.)

What do your parents think about you being a gamer ( and so hardcore:p).I love female gamers but i NEVER met one.

They don't really get it, to be honest. They just give me those looks that say, "You've been playing for a while, time to go and do something constructive." And I wouldn't really say I'm a hardcore gamer. I just really love Assassin's Creed. Also, I think there's a difference between a 'female gamer' and somebody who plays games and is also female.

And here I go, derailing another thread. Sorry.

If you play games weekly you are a gamer for me.
If you play daily hardcore.

I feel your pain, i got 3 weeks left of the semester, then exams. My last exam is a day before AC3 comes out so that's pretty cool:D
