I'll just wondering who is the right way to conserve ammo. I'm already using the Limited Ammo option in Ground Attack, Bomber aircraft. And right now i'm want to start using it in fighter aircraft. I'm just fondering what setting to you have to conserve ammo. Like on my Joystick right now the firing button is set to fire both cannons and mgs together. That of course don't conserve ammo. But now that the limited ammo option on what settings should i use for joystick firing buttons.

Only in the spirit of attack, born in a brave heart, will bring success to any fighter aircraft, no matter how highly developed it may be.

Onlt pull the trigger when you know you'll get a hit.

It's tough to learn, but the best ammo conservation technique is discipline

Everyone has there own best ways. Yes, as Chuck said only fire when on target. But also, I have my Cannons and my MGs on two different triggers. I fire my mgs to test hit and range, then cannons when I KNOW I will hit. Shoot in range and only when certain you will hit.

Chuck_Older says it all... all u have to do is wait 'till u get almost 100% chance of hitting enemy target. after some practice i believe you'll be amezed what u can do with a little ammo supply (like i was http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

I have my MGs and cannons set to different buttons, but it's pretty much a habit pressing them both at once by now.
The reason for this is, of course, that I usually fire only when I'm fairly certain of good hits.
I do sometimes use MGs only, but this is mostly during long range potshots where I don't expect to do any damage anyway.

No real need to reply any more because it's true to get in as close as you can and when you are about 100% sure but also a good technique is put unlimited ammo on and go hunting off-line http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
vs actual enemy's so that they turn away and play funny guy withem http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

joke around and see when your bullets hit and how much lead you have to give

it'll give you a better vieuw of when to fire and how your plane handles and how fast the guns go

But also, try and have a primary ride so to learn that 1 plane supergood and you'll be good in it but remeber you'll never shoot down 20 planes in 1 flight without getting shot down yurself....

I do the seperate button thing too. Set your convergence to no more than 325M which is 355.42 yds... I just rread an article about a Spitfire pilot and he said they set thier convergences to 250 yds.. which is 228.6m. Get into the habit of fireing when you are certain to get a hit and in short bursts unless you KNOW a long burst will not miss.

I keep them on separate buttons. I tend to fire a test short...in very short half second bursts to test range, bullet drop, dispersion, and lead fire. Then if I have achieved a good bead on the target I open up all guns on target.

If I have cannons and MG options than MG fires first and cannon after I've gotten a good feel.

You can get in a plane like a P39 w/ extra ammo...then you can "spray and pray" all you want! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif Hehe works for me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
