We ran a LAN back in Stoke on Trent last summer, We got about 1oo people to it and with cheap beer and good friends it was a real hoot. As part of the LAN we ran a IL2 FB dogfight tourney using 2v2 rules, it was quite a popular event.

We are thinking of running another event but we would like to maybe run a smaller one just for flight sim enthusiasts.

If you check our site you will see we had some good prizes and we also had a helicopter flight as one of the prizes!

So who would be up for some IL2 FB action in a LAG free LAN party with like minded folk? You would get to put a face to the names.

Hi Bone,

Where in Stoke on Trent did you hold it? I live near there so if you are running another, I'd be up for it.

Cheers,
Norris

dont know if we would be going to same place again though its very expensive, you need 100 people there to cover costs.

Last time it would be fair to say that the majority present were FPS fans but we did run a successful 2vs2 dogfight tournament. The rules of which can be found here (http://www.battle-fields.com/commscentre/showthread.php?s=10670181484196d171bd85005c878382&threadid=5967&highlight=tournament) and the final report here (http://www.battle-fields.com/article.php?artid=67). There is nothing to say that this time the rules can't change. If it is popular enough perhaps we could have teams larger than two or an additional larger competition?
